Childhood Memories

Ever since I was little I have loved to FISH. I remember when my Timothy family used to have fishing family reunions. I would go out fishing all geared up with my tennies, a baseball cap, and my scooby-doo fishing pole. We would sit for hours just waiting for a fish. I always got in trouble because I never looked behind me when I would cast and almost hook my Dad or something random. Well I guess things haven't changed much. Zach took me fly fishing and I did the same thing, I think I got the hook caught in the tree over a half dozen times. Needless to say I still love fishing!! Sometime in September I caught my very first fish on a fly rod. This is how it happened, Zach got mad because he said I was casting like a girl (me being stubborn and thinking I can be just as good as 'some guy') I pulled up on my line to recast 'manly style'. To my surprise a fish was on the line, and to think a girly cast caught a 14 in. fish. I was so excited I forgot about the pole and let it go. After that moment we finally brought the beautiful fish to shore and I am proud to say I out fished Zach that day, being a girl and everything.

HOT OR NOT?

Why in the world were we fussing about Harry Potter and Ron Wesley... When we should have been keeping our eye on NEVILL.
FACT: Go for the goofy looking kids, they turn out the smartest and are ATTRACTIVE!!

Juicy JUICE

Yesterday I went on an awesome lunch date with one of my running buddies, Katelyn. Can you say spectacular! We went to Costa Vida and then to Walmart. I swear Wally's world took us way longer than it really needed to... but we survived. Katelynn is a goon when it comes to doing things in a logical order, from the juice aisle, to makeup aisle to buy  headbands, then to printer cartridges. Yeah didn't really make sense. It was probably the best afternoon I have had up here, I laughed so hard. We tried to study that afternoon for four hours and I only got one assignment done. It was like last year when me and Katelyn decided we were going to go to the library and study. We talked for 2 hours without getting anything done. Katelyn is 'Italian' yeah thats news to me. I have known her for three years and yesterday I learned that she is 50% Italian, really it explains alot. With me being German and her Italian you defiantly get to hear our opinions whether you really want it or not.
Later that night I had the SPICIEST dinner of my life. So Brooke works for this little old lady weeding her garden, which in result I get lots of peppers. All kinds of peppers. I got these little tiny red chili peppers that you see on Scooby Doo and some green ones and some other colors, I'm sure.  Well... Zach decided to put all the peppers into ONE salsa and we put it over rice. I tried one bite and I though my lips were going to fall off. I looked over at Zach and drops of sweat where rolling down his face because it was so spicy. note to self: don't put all peppers in one bowl. We couldn't even finish dinner, it was that bad. Zach kept swishing juice, milk, water, anything to try and stop the burning. You would smell it and you nose would burn, thats how bad it was.
This is one of my new headbands.
Katlyn. Just look at her HAT!

You Say It Best When You Say Nothing At All... ninjas and gangsters

This week has been quite the challenge. It seems like I have a number of mountains to climb, needless to say I feel like I'm climbing them SOLO. It's funny how the lord works though. As soon as those moments of doubt and despair entered my head I was instantly reminded how much I'm loved. Zach is everything for me. He's happy when I'm grumpy and positive when I'm not. This last week consisted mainly of Lee's marketplace.
I love Lee's market place for starters. Throughout college I have experienced many different grocery stores. And YES I am very picky. From Walmart (which I hate), to Smith's (with there lovely $1.50 bread that I ate every signal day my freshman year for PB&J), and now Lee's the best produce in Cache Valley. My favorite was while Zach I were walking down the spaghetti sauce aisle, he STOPS dead in his tracks grabs my hand and starts dancing with me. I was certain we were going to run into something! Two days later we ended back at Lee's, no surprise there, and I found myself being chased through the parking-lot by the guy I LOVE as I was stubbornly making my point. Do we FIGHT?? Its debatable, most of our arguments end up with both of us realizing we are insane and soon to follow the laughter begins.
Today was probably my favorite of all. There I sit reading my 1100 page book about Harry S. Truman... and in comes Zach. SPOTLIGHTS on him and he starts acting out a wrestling match. He was a ninja, gangster, host, and a girl ALL at once. Ten minutes past and he is still acting in the middle of the floor by himself. Thats when I wished I had a recorder. It was the highlight of my night, followed by him lip-singing "the smile on your face" while playing the piano. I'm not sure how I got such a great friend, all I know is I'm LUCKY!!
God never leaves our side, he is constantly reminding us everyday that we are loved and being cared for. For me it was in these small and simple moments that I truly felt cared for. As President Utchdorf says, "God does not need us to love him but oh how we need to love god." Because if we didn't we would never experience these priceless memories of growth and happiness.
